I am learning that sometimes as people we will go out of our way to prove how valueless other people are. We do this for a number of reasons and all of them – in our eyes – justify the poor condition of our hearts and the dirt covering the lens we are using to see the world.
We are just mean like that. But that’s not why I wrote this post. I would like to share something I am learning about God in my life.
I am learning that God goes out of His way to prove how precious and peculiar I am in His eyes. In spite of my flaws. He has never told a soul about how messed up and disappointing I am as a person. And for someone like me, that means a lot.
I am also learning His rhythm in my life. He does great things in me, for me and through me when there is nothing for people to see anything special about me and I myself have nothing to brag about but Him.
I am aware of the fact that we may not have the same belief system and I respect that. But I thought I should let you know that you also have value in God’s eyes and it’s time to act like it.
Whether you believe in Christ, Muhammad, any other religion or simply none of these. We all need a little encouragement now and then. This life thing can be hard. So what better way to find encouragement than a reminder that the Giver of life thinks highly of you.
My dear friend, be audacious enough to accept yourself, your story, your message and your call. Be bold enough to heal from the need to feed on external validation. Be wise enough to know that low self-esteem is an injustice to someone like you.
You don’t have to hate those who don’t like you. Just simply love from a distance. No, it’s not arrogance to demand better from yourself and from the recipients of your best.
2019 will be the best year of your life, so do what you have to in order to get your mind right. The last thing you want to do is to stress your way through each and every blessing.
It’s time we stopped crawling and started walking with the confidence of someone who knows that they bring something unique into this world. Let us practice speaking with the assurance of someone who understands their worth. Let us be optimistic like it’s the only thing that can light up our lives.
